5 Activities to do at home with your kids:
1. Fun with Kinetic Sand
Kinetic Sand is like the best invention ever. My daughter spends hours with this creating “food” and shapes.
2. How to make glitter slime
1 bottle Glue
1 cup Water
1 teaspoon Borax
1 tablespoon Water
(You can replace the Glitter Glue for regular white glue to make normal slime)
TUTORIAL:
Mix 1 teaspoon Borax and 1 cup water together. Let your little one help pour the glitter glue into a bowel. Add 1 tablespoon water to the glue and mix it together. This will help the glue to become a little more flexible. Then pour the Borax mixture inside of the bowl. Let the kids use their hands to work the magic as they combine the glue and the mixture together. Right away you will see how the Glitter Slime will start to form.
Don’t leave the slime in the water mixture too long since it will make the slime too hard.
Finish mixing it in your hands.

3. Play dough Recipe
1 cup Flour
1 cup Water
½ cup Salt
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 tablespoon oil
Colouring (Colour of your choice)
Put all ingredients in a pot and cook for 3 minutes. Add colouring to your desire. Stir continuously then lay on wax paper and knead.
4. Paper plate butterflies
I’m not one of those crafty moms. But when I have time on my hands, I try to do simple and easy crafts with Kitana.
You will need a paper plate, pipe cleaner or something that will hold for the Antennae, glue, scissors, paint and some buttons or sequins.
- Cut two triangles out of the paper plate.
- Let the kids paint the paper plate.
- Add some glue on the plate then stick the buttons or sequins.
- Let it dry. Once dried, you can add the pipe cleaner.

5. How to make snow
This is such an easy activity and the kids will have loads of fun. All you need is baking soda and shaving cream (not scented/organic if possible). Mix ingredients together and let it snow. 😉

It sounds like there is a lot to do there for families! It’s so important to keep them busy, too 🙂
There are some amazing things to do in Johannesburg. I’ve always wanted to visit South Africa.
I don’t know that much about Johannesburg, so it this is interesting to me. I am learning a lot more just by seeing this post.
I have never been to Johannesburg but it looks like I need to add it to my list!! Looks like you had a lot of fun!!
I have never been there so it would be nice if given a chance. These looks all fun!
I would totally love to check out that ice age expo! Rhylan would totally get a kick out of it.
Wow – these are some really great ideas! My kids would both go crazy over the Ice Age Expo!
These all sound like so much fun! My kids would have loved the ice age expo and the laser tag.
Ice Age Expo would be my family’s hands down favorite. I am sure they would learn a lot from the trip. Kids love dinosaurs and this would be a great adventure for them.
I have never been to Johannesburg, but would love to explore one day! Thank you for highlighting so many activities! I this the ice age expo would be fun for all the family!
You should come visit soon. 🙂 You will love it!
These all sound like fun activities. I bet the Ice Age exhibit is neat. My kids like that movie too.
My youngest loves Frozen too. We watched that movie almost every day for a month after we bought it.
It’s fun to come across lists like this one. I always have an idea or two spawned too!
What a fun list of things to do! It really makes me want to visit Johannesburg! What fun activities you guys have there! Thanks for sharing!
My kids love learning about animals! So i am sure they would love to visit. Learning about the animals from the ice age would make their day!!
What fun activities. The Ice Age expo sounds really fun! My kids would love this, for sure.
Sounds like there is no shortage of activities to keep all busy. Which is fantastic to hear!
These are all great things to do. I would love to go to the Ice Age exhibit.
My kids love to play Laser Tag . We have a great place here that is indoors so it is a great rainy day activity.
I’ve actually seen the Shrek play before and it’s surprisingly pretty good! My 10 year old brother and sister loved it just as much as my parents and I did 🙂
These are such wonderful and fun ideas to do while visiting there. We would really love the Ice Age Exhibits.
I don’t know what I’d enjoy more … the Ice Age Expo or the Shrek Muscial. The ice age one might scare my little guy, though.
We like to play laser tag. IT’s a fun game. Shrek sounds like it would be funny as a musical.
How cool that the Ice Age Expo has moving, life-size animals – that’s a lot of fun for all ages I would think! We have something like Bounce here, it’s call SkyZone…I think that’s what it’s called – anyways, my nephew loves that place.
These looks like some great things to do with the kids in Johannesburg. I like the Ice Age Expo, I think they kids would really like that.

Copper scrap cost efficiency Copper alloys are commonly used in various electrical applications due to their excellent electrical conductivity and superior mechanical properties. The most commonly used copper alloys in electrical applications are brass, bronze, and copper nickel. Brass is an alloy made of copper and zinc. It is a popular substitute for pure copper due to its low cost and high machinability. Brass is widely used in electrical connectors, switches, and lighting fixtures. Its properties make it ideal for electrical components, as it has excellent corrosion resistance and good conductivity. Bronze is an alloy made of copper and tin. It is commonly used in electrical applications due to its high tensile strength, high corrosion resistance, and wear resistance properties. Bronze is widely used in electrical contacts and terminals for its excellent cold-forming and machinability properties. Copper-nickel alloys are used in various electrical and electronic applications due to their excellent electrical conductivity, high resistance to corrosion, and good weldability. The most commonly used copper-nickel compositions are CuNi10Fe1Mn, CuNi30Mn1Fe, and CuNi44. These alloys are widely used in electrical components, including resistors, heating elements, and conductors. In summary, the selection of the best copper alloy for electrical applications depends on the specific needs of the application. Brass, bronze, and copper-nickel alloys all offer excellent properties, including good electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance, and mechanical strength, making them ideal for various electrical and electronic applications Scrap metal reclaiming and recycling center Copper scrap consolidation Copper scrap resource conservation Clean copper recycling Recycled copper commodity market Environmental impact of metal recycling
