A picture speaks a thousand words, but it can also cement a lifetime of beautiful memories. Having shared three decades of memoirs between mom and baby, Philips AVENT is celebrating its 30-year milestone with the launch of its country-wide Baby of the Year competition.
Pregnancy and early parenthood is an exciting and challenging time for parents. As a mom, you’ll want what’s best for your baby from day one. With 30 years of clinical experience in baby feeding, Philips AVENT has been designing and manufacturing products to confidently help moms meet the needs of their babies.
“We have invested time and resources into research and clinical trials in order to develop products that are not only inspired by one of nature’s most beautiful experiences but are also founded on our mom’s valuable feedback.
“We would now like to share our big day by inviting parents to nominate their babies in our Philips Avent Baby of the Year competition with prizes that are not only going to help mom now, but more importantly, for her child’s future,” said Lucy Jones, Marketing Head, Consumer Lifestyle, Africa.
The competition will be filled with spot prizes and giveaways until the winner is announced in mid-April 2015. The lucky baby and their parents will be awarded with an education trust in partnership with Liberty Investments, as well as a photo shoot to ensure parents have a memoir of their beautiful bundle of joy’s accolade. The second and third prize winners will also be receiving a photo shoot each, while the first 250 entrants will walk away with a mom and baby t-shirt.
“We would like to thank and reward our past, present and future customers for the support they’ve given us over the past 30 years. The Philips Avent Baby of the Year competition is going to culminate into a celebration of beautiful images and memories when we announce the winner as well as our new brand ambassador in the coming month,” Jones added.
“We understand how important these moments are to capture forever. We hope this competition will allow one lucky parent an easy transition through her child’s life and make the challenges of parenthood a little lighter, so they can enjoy the small but important moments.”
Look out for the in-store activations where the Philips Baby of the Year competition stands will be displayed. Here, mom and baby can have their pictures taken while entering the competition through the on-site application station or if they cannot visit the stand by going online here for further entry details.
Visit Cresta Mall (Reggies Court) from 10am till 4pm on the 27, 28, 29 March to enter.

What a great event! I love the photos in this. I love seeing the bond between mother and baby. So special!
The baby of the year would be a great competition for both mom and baby. Aside from the prizes, this would be a great way to bond.
You’re so right! This would be an awesome event to take your baby too. The photo shoots sound like fun!
Capturing my daughter’s first year (as a first child) was part of the reason I started this blog. It would be amazing to see all the photos entered into the contest!
I’ve never used Avent but I know a lot of mums who have and who love the brand. I like the idea of the competition too!
Love this! A picture really is worth thousand words. When I see baby pictures of my mom and I, I instantly remember the day, what we were laughing about and all the happy memories! What a fun contest <3
Anytime I see pictures of newborns or wee babies, I smile!! I cannot wait to have one of my own little ones 🙂
What a fun competition. I bet the prizes are really useful.
These pictures are amazing!!! That baby is making me baby hungry lol! What a great competition!
I’m not a parent but can see how important this competition could very for parents. And the pictures are so sweet!
That picture of the baby is absolutely precious! This competition is great.
Avent was my oldest favorite bottle! The babies in these photos are adorable! Great contest!
This is great competition for every mom/parent. I love baby photos and they are all adorable.
That’s cool that Avent is looking for feedback from Mom’s. If I still had a baby I would love to enter, looks like a really cool competition!
I want to laugh at all the pictures I took off my kiddos agent they were babies. I never even printed most of them. Just a little picture crazy we mommas are!
How lovely. I love that they are giving you an education trust. That is way better than money for a child. Invest in their future.
I have used Advent products for all 3 of my kids and I loved them!

Copper scrap storage practices Copper has been a key material in computing for decades, cherished for its excellent electrical conductivity and thermal properties. The applications of copper in computing are numerous and essential for portable electronic devices, computer processors, and much more. One of copper’s most significant uses in computing is in the production of printed circuit boards. Copper is plated onto the boards to create conductive pathways for electricity to flow between components. The excellent electrical conductivity of copper makes it perfect for connecting multiple components on the same board. Copper is also resistant to corrosion, ensuring that the printed circuit board’s performance remains optimal throughout its lifespan. Copper’s thermal conductivity makes it ideal for manufacturing heat sinks, which are used in computer processors and other components to prevent overheating. The heat sink is typically attached to the computer processor to absorb heat and transfer it away from the component via a heat pipe or fan. Copper’s high thermal conductivity ensures that heat is transferred efficiently, making it an essential component for most computers. Copper is also used to make connectors and cables within computer systems. Ethernet cables, USB cables, and HDMI cables all use copper wires to transmit data and power. Copper’s electric conductivity ensures that power is transferred efficiently without any significant loss of energy. The effectiveness of copper is significant for devices that require large amounts of power to function correctly, such as external hard drives and graphics cards. Copper’s electrical conductivity also makes it useful in making electrical contacts on switches and relays. Copper contacts do not get corroded easily, which guarantees the efficient and safe operation of the devices they control. In conclusion, copper has aced the test of time and has proven to be an essential material in computing technology. From circuit boards to cables and heat sinks, copper’s thermal and electrical properties make it highly desired in the computing industry. Its affordability and abundance in nature make it an ideal choice for manufacturers looking for an efficient high-quality material Scrap metal reclamation and recovery center Copper scrap waste reduction Copper powder recycling Scrap copper sales Copper scrap export logistics Metal reclaiming and reprocessing
Copper scrap shipment tracking Aluminum wiring has been widely used in the past, primarily in the 1960s and 1970s. At the time, copper prices were high, and aluminum was considered a more cost-effective alternative. However, there are significant differences between aluminum and copper wiring that need to be considered. The main disadvantage of aluminum wiring is that it is more prone to oxidation than copper. Oxidation occurs when the metal reacts with oxygen in the air. Over time, this can lead to corrosion, which can cause the wiring to become less conductive and increase the risk of fire. This is why it is essential to use connectors and terminals that are designed for use with aluminum wiring. Copper wiring, on the other hand, is more resistant to oxidation and corrosion. It is also a better conductor of electricity than aluminum, which means that it can carry electrical current more efficiently. Copper is also more ductile than aluminum, which means it is easier to work with and less likely to break or crack. Another important factor to consider is the safety of the wiring. Aluminum wiring has been known to cause fires, particularly in older homes that were built before safety codes were updated to account for the differences between aluminum and copper wires. Copper wiring is generally considered to be safer, but it is still important to ensure that it is installed correctly and to follow all safety guidelines. In summary, while aluminum wiring may be less expensive than copper, it comes with significant disadvantages, such as a higher risk of oxidation and corrosion, and is more prone to causing fires. Copper is a more reliable and safer option, but it is more expensive. Ultimately, the decision to use aluminum or copper wiring will depend on a variety of factors, including cost, safety concerns, and the specific needs of the building or project Scrap metal reclamation and reprocessing facility International standards for Copper scrap Copper profile recycling Copper scrap resource conservation Copper flat wire recycling Scrap metal services
