New Product Launches in South Africa #2

Every week there’s something new launching in the country so I decided to put a post together to let you know what is happening in the world of brands!

These are my highlights for the past two months. I apologize for being delayed with this post, there’s just so much happening right now! Life with 3 kids isn’t easy. I am still trying to find a schedule, especially for blogging.

3. Nedbank introduces the Karri app – the new way to pay for kids’ school activities

The Karri app makes payments to schools for events such as civvies days, school trips and other fundraising activities easy and secure, using a built-for-purpose mobile payment application. 4. OUMA Rusks introduces two new additions to the family

OUMA Rusks, the iconic South African rusks range, has just introduced two new additions to the family: OUMA Premium Rusks and OUMA Mini Bite Size Rusks.

To redeem a free Martian, from the 1st June – 31st August 2017, consumers will need to purchase any FOUR participating Cadbury Dairy Milk (80g & 150g) and Cadbury Dream 80g slabs from ANY retail store, which will then allow them to redeem their free Martian figurine from any Engen Quickshop, nationwide.

7. Shampooheads launches Professional range

8. Smartick

Smartick, an online afterschool math program supported by the European Union, which has already attained worldwide acclaim for helping 83% of students between 4 and 14 years of age improve their grades, is now available in South Africa. With Smartick’s after school programme, children can participate in daily 15 minute sessions, which can be performed anywhere, including on the drive back from school or before soccer or hockey practice.

Smartick uses the latest Artificial Intelligence to adapt to the child’s learning style, quickly addressing areas where the child needs to improve on. Once they are fully versed and competent, the app then moves the child to the next level, unlike paper-based programmes which force the child to go through a pre-defined path for all kids, no matter what they have already mastered.

9. Enhle Mbali launches SE Preggoz

SE Preggoz by Mbali Enhle Maphumulo, is not your typical maternity wear. The first collection launched 2 years ago and was a resounding success, it sold out within 3 weeks.

Enhle’s inspiration was born whilst visiting the States pregnant with her first son. She struggled to find clothes which embodied the perfect balance of comfort and style.

Her 2017 collection will now consist of 7 styles, and a bohemian-inspired winter collection just enough to tantalise pregnant woman’s pallets.
