Want to try to make your own pizza at home? I got an easy recipe for you!
My kids absolutely love pizza, if my son could help it, he would eat it for breakfast, lunch and supper so, I decided to try and make my own delicious pizza at home using Royal Baking Powder’s recipe. I’m no expert in baking but I knew the kids would enjoy this activity with me especially since I’ve been away in London for a month.
How to make your own delicious pizza at home:
Makes 2 medium pizzas
Ingredients:
- 500ml (2 cups) cake flour
- 20ml (4 tsp) Royal Baking Powder
- 5ml (1 tsp) salt
- 60g butter or margarine
- 1 extra-large egg
- about 100ml milk
Toppings:
- 50g (1 sachet) tomato paste
- 30ml (2 Tbsp) water
- 375ml (11/2 cups) grated mozzarella cheese
- about 80g sundried tomato quarters in oil
- about 200g chorizo sausage, sliced
- about 16 black olives, pitted
- 100g feta cheese
- 30ml (2 Tbsp) Chopped fresh basil or 10ml (2 tsp), dried.
Instructions:
Dough: Sift flour, Royal Baking Powder and salt together. Rub in butter with fingertips until mixture represents fine breadcrumbs. Whisk egg and milk together.
Add to dry ingredients and cut it with a knife.
Knead lightly to a soft dough.
Divide dough in half and roll out each piece on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of 5mm, keeping it to a round shape.
Place dough bases on greased baking trays.
Topping: Mix tomato paste with water and spread over bases. Sprinkle mozzarella over. Arrange sun-dried tomatoes, sausage and olives on top. Crumble feta cheese over and bake at a preheated oven at 200 °C for about 15 minutes. Sprinkle basil over and serve immediately.
Variation: Substitute mozzarella with cheddar cheese.
Enjoy!
Don’t forget to take a picture of your delicious dish and share it on the Royal Baking Powder Facebook page @RoyalBakingPowderSA and use the #GetItRighwithRoyal.

Scrap Copper dealers Copper is actually commonly used in transmission lines for electricity distribution. Its high conductivity makes it an ideal choice to carry large amounts of electrical current with minimal energy loss. However, there are certain limitations to the use of copper in transmission lines. Firstly, copper is expensive and its price fluctuates heavily based on global supply and demand. This makes it less cost-effective for some power companies to use as they may opt to use alternative materials that are more affordable. Secondly, copper is relatively heavy compared to other materials which can make it difficult and expensive to transport and install long power transmission lines. In addition, the weight of the copper cables may also put a strain on the support structures, causing additional safety concerns. Another limitation of copper is its susceptibility to corrosion. Copper can easily corrode in humid or salty environments, leading to a reduction in its conductivity and overall performance. To combat this, additional coatings or other corrosion protection measures may need to be implemented, further increasing the cost of using copper in transmission lines. In addition, the demand for higher capacity transmission lines and the emergence of renewable energy sources have led to the need for even more efficient and cost-effective transmission materials. As a result, companies are exploring alternatives such as aluminum, carbon fiber, and even superconducting materials, all of which offer unique advantages and limitations. Overall, while copper remains a popular material for transmission lines, its cost and weight, as well as its tendency to corrode, have led to a need for alternative materials in certain situations Scrap metal collection and recycling Copper recycling education Copper scrap cost efficiency Copper scrap industry publications Copper hydroxide recycling Metal waste repurposing and recycling
Copper wire scrap suppliers Cyprus is an island country located in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. The island has been inhabited since prehistoric times and has a rich history. Its name, which means “Island of Copper,” comes from its vast copper resources, which were widely exploited in ancient times. Cyprus has a warm Mediterranean climate, with mild winters and hot summers. The island’s natural beauty, warm climate, and long sandy beaches make it a popular tourist destination. The capital city, Nicosia, is a bustling modern city, but it still retains its historic charm with its well-preserved medieval city walls and narrow, winding streets. The island has a diverse economy, with tourism, shipping, and services being the major contributors to its GDP. Cyprus is also famous for its delicious cuisine, which is a fusion of Greek, Turkish, and Middle Eastern influences. Meze, a traditional Greek and Turkish style dining where multiple small dishes are shared, is a popular way to experience the local cuisine. Cyprus has a rich cultural heritage, with many ancient ruins and archaeological sites. The most famous of these is the ancient city of Kourion, which dates back to the Hellenistic period, and is home to the magnificent Roman amphitheater and a well-preserved House of Eustolios. Overall, Cyprus is a fascinating country with a rich cultural heritage, beautiful landscapes, and friendly people.
