Bathing a toddler is not always easy because many of them don’t like bathing and then some of them, like my toddler want to sit in the water and drink it. Yes, bath water must be really tasty because that is the only time Kitana is thirsty for water. Kitana is at the age where she wants to bathe herself and that is a bit difficult now but it’s not impossible thanks to my Konjac sponge.
When I first came across this product on the net, I was puzzled. Why is a sponge around $20?! To me that sounded ridiculous. Little did I realize there’s a lot behind the price. I’ve always been buying sponges from my local store, I thought to myself why should I buy this one?! What makes it so unique and different?

1. What is Konjac?
The Konjac Potato or Konnyaku is a perennial plant native to Asia, and can be found growing wild at very high altitudes. A totally natural food source, Konjac is 97% water, rich in mineral goodness and low in calories. Naturally alkaline, Konjac is pH neutral which leaves skin perfectly balanced.

Mothers want the best for their babies, what makes Konjac such a unique sponge?
I got to be honest, I think it is the perfect sponge for a newborn. Its gentle on the skin and absorbs the soap immediately. 1 drop of bath wash or even nothing can still work like a charm. Its soft which makes it perfect for delicate skin. Easy to use and clean. This little sponge is a cleanser which helps gently exfoliate the body.
Kitana was so fascinated at this sponge that she thought she should bite into it. That will tell you how mooshy it is when wet. Kitana has learnt to bathe herself and that’s all thanks to this lovely sponge! She loves the sponge so much that when she gets into the bath, she reaches out for it and starts washing her body.
Due to Kitana biting into it, she destroyed most of the sponge and shortened the period of usage however during my time with the product, I felt like a kid again. I loved playing with jelly when I was little and this somehow reminded me of it. I absolutely loved my time with the Konjac baby sponge.
It is a bit pricey but if you think long-term it might be worth it. The sponge should last up to 3 months and can easily be composted after you replace it.
Will I buy the product again?
Yes, this time I want to try the facial sponge.
Will I recommend it?
More for a newborn than a toddler.
