Heard of IV drips? A week ago, I went for my first IV drip in Morningside and to be honest, I was extremely nervous!
I hate needles…Yes, I know that sounds weird coming from a person who had 3 C-Sections. But having a drip done always freaks me out. Luckily this was done in 15 minutes!

You can! But research says that the IV Drips helps go STRAIGHT TO THE SOURCE.
The drip bypasses the gut and put vitamins right where you and your body need them – in your bloodstream.
Are IV drips safe?
When I went for mine, I had to fill in a form stating if I had surgery, was on any medication or have any serious conditions they need to know about. I had my blood pressure checked before I was given the go-ahead. I personally think you need to understand what the IV drip does before going for one especially since there are so many different ones.
They are safe if done correctly, mine was administered by a nurse. I wouldn’t just visit any place that is doing this. Do your research and find an established business that does it the way it should be done, after all, they are injecting this into your bloodstream. There’s a needle being used.
Research has said that there are side effects, but the pros outweigh the cons.
If you have certain medical conditions, you might want to consult your doctor first.
How often should you get an IV drip?
It is recommended at least once a month.
How long do the benefits last?
Between 5 – 8 days is the peek, but it should maintain your levels for 2-3 weeks.
How much does IV drips cost in South Africa?
The cost varies from 650 upwards.

Is it worth it?
Now, this is the big question everyone is asking! I think if you need a quick fix, yes! If you have a busy lifestyle, travel a lot, work out a lot or do a lot of sports then this will make sense for you.
It is expensive. Not something I can afford every month even though I do see the benefits in it and have seen a difference after trying it. I would do it again if I have a hectic travel schedule coming up. I also don’t think it will be the first option I will try if I had a fertility problem, I would consult my gynae first.
