Don’t you just hate when you have to think what to cook everyday? Well I do, I try to stick to a schedule but it doesn’t always work out. Every time I ask my husband what to cook, he has no idea but he’s ready to eat before dinner is ready.
I’m always looking for an easy way out and if someone can deliver ingredients to me every week with a written recipe, I will accept it with open arms and YES, that’s exactly what I did when I learnt about Daily Dish.
I was in amazed when I read reviews about this brand, I knew it’s a service I would appreciate as a mom.
What is Daily Dish?
It’s an online service providing freshly packaged ingredients and recipes to people who want to try something different or to ordinary home cooks who are keen to make quick, tasty meals every day.
Online shopping is growing rapidly worldwide, you can now do your grocery shopping on your favorite stores website (Crazy right?!) but what’s even better is knowing you can choose the meals you want to create.
What makes Daily Dish so unique?
I used to do month end shopping around the 25/30th. I always preferred going into the store.
1. It was an absolute nightmare; 50 other moms were thinking exactly like me, shopping as soon as they received their paycheck.
2. Shopping with a frustrated toddler who missed nap time can be dreadful. Sometimes she would do her own shopping at the store. (Kitana adds items into the trolley including castor oil).
3. I used to buy random items and some would expire because I never had the opportunity to cook with it or I couldn’t think of a recipe in time.
I recently started shopping weekly. It is easier but it can be very confusing. I spend a lot of my time on the internet trying to find recipes.
Daily Dish gives you the opportunity to be a master chef in your own kitchen. You get to try different cuisines and recipes daily.
They offer 3 different options:
1. Classic Menu (I reviewed this).
2. Low Carb Menu
3. Vegetarian Menu
The website is easy to navigate with detailed information which includes the meals for the week and pricing. You can choose a 4 or 2 portion meal size. You can even pause/resume when you feel like.
The Classic Menu:
4 portions | 2 portions |
R850 per week | R590 per week |
Only R53 per person, per meal. | Only R74 per person, per meal. |
My review:
I received the ingredients on a monday as promised with 4 recipes. To be honest, I was nervous. I’m not a good cook but I love experimenting.
Each recipe gives you clear instructions on how to create the dish. It wasn’t difficult at all. I never thought I would be able to pull it off but I did, AND it made me feel so good about myself.
The dish I didn’t enjoy: Chicken Burger with Harissa Mayo, I think I made it a bit too sour.
The dish I loved: Bacon and Spinach Quiché. I never ate or made Quiché before but I felt it was the easiest recipe for me.
What can improve: It would be interesting if some ‘experienced cooks’ could submit their recipes to the brand. I would love to see more of our South African cuisine especially the Durban style curry ;).
The Kima beef curry and rice which I prepared wasn’t the curry I’m used too, the cooking method was totally different from my moms but it was good. I even had leftovers for the next day which we had for lunch.
I absolutely love this service and would recommend it to any mom. This is perfect for at least once a month – a week of flavors which will definitely take you on a food journey. You can visit www.dailydish.co.za for more info.
We giving 3 moms an opportunity to experience the brand. Competition opened to South Africans only.

I would love to try this out. Really not a great cook and honestly, I tend to leave it to my husband when I can but would love the opportunity to surprise him 🙂
You did well! That looks amazing! I would def try The Daily Dish- was that a trick question? Lol 😉
I cannot fathom how amazing it would be to not have to think of something to cook. Amazing giveaway
How I’d love to win this giveaway. Everything is so neatly packed, looks colourful and beautifully presented. I can only imagine how delicious they taste! Fab prize, goodluck to all…
This is an awesome concept. i would love to try it. Love experimenting with different meals but don’t have the time to go to the shop.. I have a 4 year old and a 3 year old so no time for shopping during the week.. let alone having to think about what to make. 🙂
What a prize. I would love to try the Classic Menu! 🙂
This would be a GREAT way for bf and I to try new dinner recipes instead of the regular stuff every night.
Fascinating concept – seen so much PR about Daily Dish recently and dying to try myself
Such an awesome idea! especially with my baby coming soon I will not have time for shopping so this would be brilliant. crossing fingers to try this
I love to cook and I think this would be a great program to try out 🙂 I love that everything is included.
I love it, but how does it compare to what you usually spend each month?
It depends on your budget but for me I think once a month is okay for something like this.
I think I need to try this, even just to get the recipes.
I stay in Knysna and would love it if we had something like this here
I never know what to cook and get time to buy proper stuff. Would totally love to try this!
I would love to try this out. It would make my evenings with my newborn and hubby so much better. And I’d have more quality time with them:-)
Wow… what an awesome prize…. how great not to think of what to cook for dinner for a change!
I can honestly say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE this idea and I would definitely be SUPER keen to try it!! I am exactly like you Shan, I buy random things in the hopes that inspiration will kick in when I get home and need to start cooking but then I end up throwing so much stuff away because I don’t use it! And I inevitably end up cooking the same meals over and over…even though I have the best intentions to be more creative in the kitchen! Bleggh!
I hate wasting and thinking about food so the fact that Daily Dish sends you exactly what you need, sounds like every mom’s dream come true!
I would absolutely 100% love to try this….especially now that I am 6 months pregnant with my 2nd child!
Thanks for the opportunity!
Yes, definitely!!!
Awesome idea!!
Fingers crossed!!

Looks so convenient as well as healthy. Perfect for a busy mom and her family.
I love the concept as I have no time making meals for myself. I manage a Home for Abandoned Babies and work an almost 16 to 18 hour shift so time is of the essence to me..
I love the concept as I work an almost 16 to 18 hours per day managing a Home for Abandoned Babies, and I never have the time to cook myself a decent and healthy meal.
Would love to give this a try. Coming up with dinner ideas is always a struggle!

Copper scrap waste reduction practices Copper has been used by humans for thousands of years. In fact, copper tools and weapons have been found in archaeological sites dating back to 8700 BC. The use of copper became more widespread during the Bronze Age, which began around 3000 BC and lasted until about 1200 BC. During the Bronze Age, copper was alloyed with tin to create bronze, an even harder and more durable metal. This allowed for the creation of more advanced tools, weapons, and decorative objects. Copper also played a significant role in ancient cultures and religions. In Egypt, copper was associated with the goddess Hathor and was used to create mirrors, vessels, and jewelry. In Greek mythology, copper was associated with the god Hephaestus, who was the blacksmith of the gods and the god of metalworking. Copper was also valued for its medicinal properties. The ancient Egyptians and Greeks used copper to treat a variety of illnesses, from headaches to respiratory problems. The use of copper continued to evolve throughout history. In the Middle Ages, copper became a popular material for roofing and building because of its high durability. During the Industrial Revolution, the discovery of new methods for extracting and refining copper led to an increase in production and its widespread use in manufacturing. Today, copper remains an important metal in industry and technology, used in everything from electrical wiring to plumbing to electronics. Despite its long history, the usefulness and versatility of copper continue to make it a valuable resource Metal waste market analysis Copper scrap auctions Regulatory compliance for copper recycling Copper refining processes Copper profile recycling Scrap metal repurposing solutions
