Earlier this year I attended the Clicks BabyClub and Paed-IQ Baby Bootcamp. At first I was a bit skeptical about attending a baby workshop because I’ve already been there and done that. 😉 But then I realised how important this will be for me since my baby is arriving in September. My first-born is a girl and she’s almost 3-years-old. I got preggy brain at the moment and can’t seem to remember anything for newborns. I feel like a first time mom all over again especially since I’m having a boy this time. This was the perfect opportunity for me to speak to experts in the industry and get professional opinions on questions that has played on my mind.
The workshop speakers included a Paediatrician, Midwife, Psychologist, Dietician and Biokineticist. All aimed at helping Moms and Dads prepare for the arrival of their little miracle.
I’m so glad that brands are hosting more baby seminars and workshops. This gives us moms-to-be an opportunity to see what’s on the market and learn about new products and services.
Being a first time mom can be overwhelming. I remember when Kitana was born, a week later she ended up getting sick. It scared me because she was so tiny and I couldn’t give her any medicine. I felt like I did something wrong and kept blaming myself.
The first year of being a mom takes you on a rollercoaster. You not sure what to expect and your emotions are still all over the place. Gaining as much information as you can during pregnancy is so important. This will help you prepare and you will also learn about little things like the importance of hygiene etc. when you have a newborn around.
I think my highlight of this event was listening to the Gynaecologist and the Paediatrician. Even though the event was information overload especially for first time parents, it was worth it. The goodie bags were amazing and the brands involved definitely helped me understand their products better.
It was a morning well spent for me (even though I had to literally drag my body out of bed) and I definitely learnt some important tips that I will be applying when my little munchkin arrives.
I love that you can ask questions during the talk and even chat to the speakers afterwards.

Sounds so informative. I know I read the typical “What to Expect When You Are Expecting” books, but being able to raise your hand and ask a question sounds nice. I have to laugh at the dad sitting there with his arms crossed. 🙂
This sounds like an excellent talk for pregnant woman and their significant others or husbands or whoever to go and learn about what to expect and about all the new and innovative products out there. It is especially important that they allow questions from the audience.

I am not a mommy yet, but wow. I would definitely attend this workshop. There were so many professionals there. There’s so much you can learn and I love that you can learn all about the brands that are safe for your home and for your babies.

This seems like a great event for new moms who already have a lot on their plate. This way they can learn about a lot all at one place.
I come from a very big family on both sides maternal & paternal. So as far as babies are concerned they were everywhere and being a girl I always got to help not only with the babies, but the cookin’ & the cleanin’! I had four children of my own, and when they started coming with my first I had my gramma & my mom. Not to mention my Aunt/godmother and a couple of other aunts. So as far as a boot camp for babies maybe if you came from a small family that would be good.

Copper scrap authenticity verification Nitrogen oxides (NOx) are one of the most detrimental air pollutants due to their adverse effects on human health and the environment. Among NOx species, nitrogen dioxide (NO2) is particularly harmful as it can cause respiratory diseases and contribute to acid rain formation. Therefore, there is a need to develop efficient methods for NOx removal from industrial and automotive exhaust gases. In recent years, metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have emerged as promising materials for catalytic applications, including NOx reduction. MOFs are composed of metal ions interconnected by organic ligands, forming porous structures with high surface area and tunable properties. In particular, copper-based MOFs have shown excellent catalytic activity towards NOx reduction, thanks to the redox properties of copper species. In a recent study, researchers introduced atomically dispersed copper sites in a zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF-8) for NO2 reduction. The authors synthesized the catalyst by using a solvent-assisted ligand exchange technique, which allowed the incorporation of copper ions in a controlled manner. In the resulting Cu-ZIF-8 catalyst, copper species were homogeneously distributed in the MOF structure, with a high density of atomically dispersed copper sites. The researchers tested the Cu-ZIF-8 catalyst for NO2 reduction under different reaction conditions, including temperature, NO2 concentration, and gas flow rate. The results showed that the atomically dispersed copper sites in the MOF structure exhibited remarkable catalytic performance for NO2 reduction, with high selectivity towards nitrogen and water formation. Moreover, the catalyst showed stable performance over multiple cycles, without significant copper leaching or MOF structure degradation. The study provides a novel approach to design efficient and stable catalysts for NOx reduction, by utilizing atomically dispersed copper sites in MOF structures.
