We are back home ..Arrived on friday and it wasn’t a very pleasant welcome back home 🙁 16/17 of my fish had died in the koi pond! It was a horrible sight indeed.. Very very sad about this! Our tenant tried everything to save them but nothing helped. Not exactly sure what really happened and won’t know until we get the pros to check it.. Unfortunately they are on holiday now so we will have to wait until they back at home.. This just made me realise it is so difficult to travel if you have pets even fish! We were thinking of getting Kitana a dog but now I’m thinking twice.
Let me tell you about our Durban trip. We spent time with family and decided to go on a food experience when we had some time, visiting various restaurants as my husband and I love good food 🙂
We will be sharing our food experiences on: Beluga Gateway, Circus Circus Gateway, Oyster Box Umhlanga, Coastlands Hotel Umhlanga, Cargo Hold Ushaka Marine World, John Dorys Wilsons Wharf, Simply Delicious Bergview and Milky Lane South Coast in an upcoming post.
We spent the first 3 days in South Coast (Umkomaas) then went up north and stayed in Coastlands Hotel in Umhlanga. My overall experience at the hotel was good except I did not enjoy the breakfast. For me it was lacking flavour and the eggs seemed very oily. I hardly ate… However I loved the room! The bathroom was very spacious, room was neat and well presented. Service was excellent and staff was very friendly. Easy access to everything in the area, quite central in north coast and very close to the beach and mall.

Would I stay at the hotel again? Yes
Will I eat at the hotel? Not sure.. Unless I really have too!
We just booked for lunch and high tea at the Saxon Hotel Sandton, I am super excited! We did visit five hundred this year and that was something I will never forget! Boy oh boy was it YUMMY! I love desserts, I have a sweet tooth so I’m hoping this is going to take me to sweet heaven.
Anyway my next couple posts will still be about Durban and our experiences. Hope you enjoying my blog thus far, chat soon 🙂
