Being a mom can be the hardest job in the world… We allowed to take a break, it doesn’t matter if you’re a stay at home mom or a working mom. We need ME time.
It’s important to make sure you have some time to yourself because if you frustrated or overwhelmed, it will affect everyone at home. At first, I used to feel guilty and never bothered about this but months later I realised everyone at home knew something wasn’t right with me. I became a grumpy person who would always complain.
Today I would like to share 5 ways you can take some “ME-time” that won’t make you feel guilty.
1. ME time is Shower time.
I know it sounds too easy and simple. But taking a long shower or a bubble bath can be heaven after a long day of dirty diapers and toddler tantrums.
2. Spend a day in PJ’s and watch movies.
This is my favorite thing to do and sometimes I do this with Kitana. It’s nothing too hectic and a good comedy movie always cheers me up!
3. Read a book.
Stay in bed a little longer with a good book on a saturday morning, while daddy makes breakfast for the kids. 😉
4. Indulge.
A box of Lindt always hits the spot for me.
5. Prepare a picnic in your backyard.
Kids love playing outside….well most of them. It’s always good to get some fresh air especially if you a stay at home mom. Relax outside with a bottle of bubbles for you and some snacks for the kids.
Mothers are the pillars of families and the cornerstones of communities. Their unconditional love never wavers, their support is enduring and their commitment is relentless.
Mother’s Day is when we get to celebrate and honour our moms as well as spoil them on this special day. This year, Lindor wants to spoil you!
One lucky reader will stand the chance to win a blissful LINDOR Me-Time Moments hamper worth R900.

I think the best way to stay in touch with yourself is too meditate daily. I try to meditate for at least 20 minutes per day. It help to keep me calm and centers my thoughts.
THIS PRIZE IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have made me time on Sundays between 1 and 3. My hubby looks after the children and I take my favourite book and switch off till my time is up.
my way of having me time is to book either a massage, facial, mani or pedi at least once a month as a way of reconnecting with myself. I have a busy life with two boys age 3 and 10 and getting away for just an hour does wonders for me.
Thanks for the opportunity to spoil ones self
I always sneak in about 30 min to read when the girls are in bed. Hubby puts our youngest Kairenn to sleep while I put madam Cianais to bed, and Ive timed it perfectly, so that I have a “Me time” gap to read and eat a choccie Ive stashed, or read with a cup of coffee.
My first me time moment after my baby was a half day at the spa, relaxing and sublime! Now I go for a pedi and express mani or facial to get so me time!
My first me time moment was after my daughter turned 3… which was last year November lol.. She stayed with her dad while I went out for the day with my friend to the mall. It was the most scariest day of my life. The first time I was without Krianne. I kept sending him messages asking about her and what she is doing did she eat etc lol.. to the point were she told me I am disturbing her and daddy… lol (yes 3 years). Even though I did not enjoy my me time I learnt that she was fine without me hovering over her and she will be fine. I just panicked unnecessarily. And I learnt that we both needed our space. She enjoyed her day with dad and she even told me she wants to go to ‘nanas’ house (grandfather) and I must not come lol. I must go salon. 😀 . Eventually it got easier departing and I started looking forward to my me time. Whether I went out or stayed home and relaxed. I don’t do it very often because I work and I look forward to family time on weekends. But when I cover my alone time I try to make the best of it. I also found that putting her to sleep early at around 8pm gives me time thereafter to catch up with hubby or do chores or even catch up with some Dean from Supernatural 😉 lol.. although I enjoy my me time it never comes close to when I am with my family. #LindorMOMents
I have a 6 week old princess and I always wash her about 18:30 in the evening them breastfeed her and she sleeps peacefully and I can have some me time and for a me time I take a bubble bath and indulge in some snacks like chocolate and then a catch up on some social media activities. Followed on all social media accounts and tweeted @XhosaCliqs
I have a ritual to take a long relaxing bath on a saterday night. Candles, chocolates, bubble and a great book. My hubby and son then leave me to relax and enjoy the quality time.
I love the quiet time of reading or listening to music. I also love going by myself shopping for something fun too!
I make time every month or two to go scrapbooking with friends. It is a fun and relaxing time doing something that I love!
I’ve found the best use of “me” time is to sit quietly by myself and clear my mind as much as possible of any thought. I do this for about 20 minutes in the morning before I start my day and I find I can’t live without it. I think any amount of time in quiet meditation is helpful, even 5 minutes. I used to think I had to be doing something like fitness, or a spa procedure, or a weekend getaway to take care of myself. Those things have their place; however, just sitting still can be the most invigorating act of all. As a full-time working mom the #1 thing I do to care for myself is I set the alarm to wake before my kids, and meditate for 10-15 minutes. It’s nothing complicated or difficult. I simply sit in an upright position, close my eyes, and focus on my breath. It’s natural for your mind to jump around, but the key is to gently bring your focus back to your breath. It helps to breathe through any physical pains or distractions and try to let them go. Meditation helps me to focus on ANYTHING that I want to achieve. It makes me an infinitely better, more balanced mom/person, and helps me stay focused on my top business and personal goals. My me time also includes reading an engrossing book, making toffee, calling a beloved friend, paint a watercolour and going for long walks and exercising. I love to Breathe deeply, walk briskly, and enjoy my ME time

a.I work from home. When my kids go to school,I enjoy some me-time with my favourite soapies before I start working for the day
b. My first me-time after having a baby was when I left my 6-month old baby with my mum for the weekend and went away with my hubby to a game reserve. But I felt so guilty!
I am a great believer in Crafting! Any little spare moment I can get I craft 🙂 I especially love any craft with fabric so I quilt and make toys, when I craft my mind just goes and I can just relax, nothing to think about just my hands doing work they know and my mind floating away 🙂 My first me time after baby was at 6 weeks leaving her with hubby and went and got my hair and nails done!

My me-time is co-ordinated with day out with the grandparents….who positively dote on my kids & cherish time alone with the grand kids. I plan my spa retreat so that I can de-stress & unwind, with a good massage. If the budget doesnt allow for a spa escape, then I climb into my bath tub at home with a good book and soothing music.

Right after my daughter was born I suddenly had the urge to start painting my nails. I started taking time out to do this on a regular basis and this has flourished into a fully fledged hobby and gives me loads of blog fodder too! I am now a nail and mommy blogger 🙂 I do my nails twice a week and that is my “me time”. I also like to use the shower as me time, but that doesn’t *always* work out as planned since I still get knocks on the shower door 😉
Oh my gosh… I don’t get me-time! I have two boys and they are always around, even when I take a bath or a shower, they’re always there and if it’s not them it’s my husband 🙁
#LindorMOMents i practice me time as soon as i have the urge to. i go outside, to my designed spot, grab my book and read for an hour whilst the warm sun melts on my face.
the first thing i did after having my baby was go for a manicure and pedicure. it invigorated me and made me feel sexy and confident again
Entered on twitter @JaxxLisa what a fab prize
I had Rosie on 14 January 2014 and for Valentines Day that year, my hubby gave me a spa day with my mom. It was absolutely amazing. I soaked in a hot tub and got massaged and drank yummy tea. The whole experience certainly was sublime. So once a month, I give myself a pedicure and watch a cheesy girly movie (if I can’t find something good on telly I pull out my trusty Notebook DVD) and have a good cry. I try and squeeze in a little time for reflection every day (it flat out does not happen when Rosie is sick or at home) but for the rest of the time, I look forward to my 2 hours of pampering 🙂
It may sound so simple, but my favourite and most achievable “me time” at the moment is a long shower, followed by taking the time to care for my skin, doing my hair (other than a quick brush and pony) and putting on some makeup… Nothing picks up my spirits more than feeling clean, fresh and looking my best.
@youbabyandi @LindtSA #LindorMOMents thank goodness my partner of 6 years is such a great cook, he sure knows his story in the kitchen and i look forward to my “me-time” every Saturday eve, as he takes over the cooking and keeping our 5 year old son busy while mom enjoys a long, relaxing bubble bath, surrounded by candles, my thoughts, laid back music and just basically pampering myself from head to toe. My son knows once the (do not disturb) card is hanging on the door’s handle, mom is not available. He actually helped me make it…lol, think his ever sorry he assisted me.
@LeothaK
#LindorMOMents My very first me time moment was taking a bath, a long, warm, relaxing bubble bath. I breastfed so I couldn’t enjoy a glass of wine but I had candles all around and I just relaxed. To this day, as soon as my boys are in bed by 20:00, it’s bath time, some days I don’t lie in the bath for hours, or even put bubbles in, but I take my time and make sure I get to unwind from the day I had. @Youbabyandi and @LindtSA.
a)I practice yoga to keep my body and my mind in balance , as being a new mom . We as mothers tends to loose focus on ourselves and the baby becomes our primary care . This practice also kept my body in shape and mental vitality in tuned.
b)My me-time moment was created by reading my favorite book while snacking on Lindt chocs in my bubble bath #MeTIME
With a newborn baby there really isn’t much time for me time! But 1 thing that keeps me sane is having a nice hot shower everyday. No matter how hard it is, every new mom needs to make sure that you hand baby over to daddy for a little while, and lock yourself in a steaming shower with some luxurious body wash. It really does wonders for your mind, body and soul xxx
My Me time moments are when I get in my bubble bath with a glass of wine and some Lindor. No baby, no hubby, just me and those soathing bubbles. Only happens maybe once a week but I treasure every signle moment#LindorMOMents. @Youbabyandi @LindtSA.
My first time was about 2 months ago ( I have a 3 year old & a 5 month old) I decided to take 30 min every day to start exercising & getting myself back into shape. I LOVE it! Starting to see the body I used to have, have more energy for my boys & my mood is happy & positive! Best thing I ever did!
#LindorMOMents My ultimate me time is my time on my treadmill @ home, i put on my headphones and get swallowed into another world while hubby babysits. I find this therapeutic, healthy and a way to keep my sanity 🙂 On the odd occasion i would soak in a hot tub and read a magazine or simply just watch a programme with a hot mug of tea. 🙂
Lovely prize!would love to win it 🙂
1)The ultimate “Me-time” would be to get away for a winter escape of a full day into the Franschhoek winelands with my best friend Julie.
Julie has a 6 year daughter and twin boys aged 3. My daughter is 8 and my son is 5. To stay in a beautiful B&B and have peeps at our beck and call for tea, dinner and breakfast as well as shopping and coffees in the high street are what we dream about!! Let’s not forget the wine-tasting!!
2) In terms of creating rituals for Me-time I think moms must remember that the intensity of their parenting goes through stages. When my kids were younger I would try create Me-Time in the evenings when my husband was home to mind the fort. Now that they are older and both at school, I have flexibility to do as I please. It’s important that they (your family) understand that you need an outlet too and that your hobby/ritual/exercise is part of the household routine just like any other member of the family. In my case, I go to karate 2 evenings a week religiously. You need to take a firm and loving approach to the fact that this is your precious time.

I plan my little ones ‘s weekend visit to either gran-ma or aunty.
I then ensure that before I start to relax and spend time with me, I buy or collect all that I will need indoors so that I don’t disturb and rob that time with having to get up or go out to get it. I then switch off my phone and the TV, close all the doors and take a long shower before devouring into reading and writing whilst savouring whatever treat I have decided on for the moment. In between all that, I sometimes get up and play an old song and dance singing loudly whilst watching myself on the mirror and laugh. Also I allow myself to close my eyes and day dream like a little girl and long after those ambitions that I still desire. And if I fall asleep, I let my body go and I sleep until forever. All this, is a joy for me and sometimes my hubby joins me and other times, he goes and does what he wants for himself. All I want is just that time, yet to have it is not as easy but worth every effort in getting it.
Since I gave birth 14 months ago, I have not had much of this time. Though my heart aches after it, I am not able to have it just yet as my Phoebe is only starting to be able to spend time away at gran-ma. I am happy about it, it is a good step for both of us to be able to face life sometimes far apart….she is growing and needs that as part of her healthy development. I need that to be the best mummy to all of them.
That’s such a cool package. Reading is definitely a big “me time” activity.
Almost every Saturday evening I have my Me time with my large packet of niknacks, lindt caramel truffles and a bottle of wine in front of the Tv watching a horror movie(love them!!). My husband takes the kids to visit his parents and then I have the house to myself!! #LindorMOMents

Recycling scrap Copper wire Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have been attracting a lot of attention as promising materials for CO2 conversion due to their unique properties such as high surface area, porosity, and tunable chemistry. However, the selective reduction of CO2 to value-added products such as ethanol remains a challenging task. In a recent study, a cooperative copper centre in a MOF was proposed as an efficient catalyst for the conversion of CO2 to ethanol. The MOF used in the study was synthesized by incorporating a copper centre in the framework structure. The copper centre was designed to have a cooperative effect with neighbouring copper centres, which was expected to enhance the selectivity towards ethanol production. The catalytic performance of the MOF was evaluated in a batch reactor under mild reaction conditions (25 В°C and 1 atm CO2 pressure). The results showed that the cooperative copper centre in the MOF exhibited high selectivity towards ethanol production (90%), with a conversion rate of 32 Ојmol g^-1 h^-1. The formation of ethanol was attributed to the reduction of CO2 by the copper centre, which was facilitated by the neighbouring copper centres. The cooperative effect was found to be critical to achieving high selectivity towards ethanol and suppressing the formation of undesirable by-products such as methanol and formic acid. Furthermore, the catalyst showed good stability over multiple cycles, indicating its potential for practical applications. The proposed strategy of designing cooperative metal centres in MOFs could pave the way for the development of efficient and selective catalysts for CO2 conversion. In conclusion, the cooperative copper centre in a MOF demonstrated high selectivity towards ethanol production from CO2. The results suggest that designing cooperative metal centres in MOFs could be a promising approach for developing efficient and selective catalysts for CO2 conversion Metal recycling and reclamation Copper recovery process Copper scrap packaging techniques Copper recycling partnerships Circular economy in copper recycling Scrap metal resource recovery
Copper scrap sustainability practices Copper has been an important metal throughout human history, with evidence of its use dating back to 8000 BCE. It is one of the few metals that can exist in its natural element form. The ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans were known to use copper for jewelry, tools, and weapons. Copper alloyed with tin also led to the creation of bronze, a stronger metal that was used for armor, coins, and sculptures. During the Industrial Revolution, copper became even more important due to its use in electrical wiring and telegraph cables. It also played a vital role in the construction of ships, as it is resistant to corrosion from saltwater. Today, copper is still widely used in a variety of industries, including electronics, plumbing, construction, and transportation. It is also a key component in renewable energy technology, such as solar panels and wind turbines. Copper is valued not only for its physical properties but also for its antimicrobial properties. It has been shown to have the ability to kill bacteria and viruses, making it useful in healthcare settings.
