Maybe I should ask first if you do the whole Black Friday thing? Honestly, I didn’t in the beginning when it first launched in South Africa but now I am kinda hooked especially if it’s a really good saving!
The big question many people ask if it’s actually worth it? The reality is that many stores have already raised their prices for the festive season but on this day, they bring it down a little lower for you.
For me, it is because I will most probably pay 10-20% more for the same item over December.
So, if you are thinking about doing Black Friday this year, here are a few of my tips to stay on top of it and don’t get sucked into every sale because let’s face it, it is easy to buy without thinking much.
When is Black Friday?
Black Friday 2019 falls on November 29th and Because Black Friday was originally a brick and mortar tradition, online retailers have adapted and taken Black Friday to the next level by extending it over the weekend and introducing Cyber Monday where prices drop even further. Naturally, Cyber Monday 2019 will be on the 2nd of December.
How to prepare for Black Friday:
- Make a list of stores/websites you want to check out on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Let’s be honest, as much as we would like to scroll through various websites or visit many stores, it won’t be possible. You will get frustrated. Planning is key!
- Decide on a budget and stick to it – I try to balance between home, Christmas gifts, and items I’ve been after for a long time for myself.
- Look at what are the terms and conditions for items bought on Black Friday.
- I normally shortlist 3 websites for Black Friday (Superbalist is always on that list) – I prefer shopping online than in-store.
- Create an account, download the app, save your address, etc and start creating your wish list now! This is an important step because it also limits you from buying unnecessary things.
- Stay up or wake up at 11 pm to prepare for midnight! All sales start at midnight so you need to be that keyboard warrior that will be one of the first people on the site.
- Open at least 2 of your 3 websites on different devices. You definitely need a tag team partner to win at Black Friday.
I’ve already started creating my wish lists on Takealot.com and Superbalist.
Superbalist is currently having Pre-Black Friday sales up to 40% off!

Copper scrap processing plant Copper has long been considered a key indicator of global economic growth. Its wide-ranging use in various industries, ranging from construction to electronics, makes it a vital component of our modern economies. Therefore, any disruption in copper supplies can have a significant impact on the global economy. Recently, copper prices have been on the rise, hitting their highest levels in nearly a decade. This spike in copper prices is due to a combination of supply and demand factors. On the supply side, copper production has been hampered by COVID-19 related shutdowns, strikes, and mine closures. In Chile, the world’s largest copper producer, output has been affected due to COVID-19 restrictions and labor disputes. Meanwhile, on the demand side, there has been an increase in copper usage due to a global infrastructure push. The United States and several other countries have announced plans to invest heavily in their respective infrastructure projects, which will require large amounts of copper. This combination of reduced supply and increased demand has led to a significant squeeze on copper, which is likely to continue in the coming months. This squeeze could have far-reaching implications for the global economy. In the short term, companies that rely heavily on copper for their operations are likely to face supply disruptions and rising costs. This could lead to production delays, higher prices for consumers, and inflationary pressures. Furthermore, as copper is often considered an indicator of economic activity, its rising prices could suggest a broader economic recovery. However, if copper prices continue to rise too quickly, it could signal inflation and a potential bubble in the commodities market. Therefore, while a copper price surge can be beneficial for companies and investors, it is important to monitor its impact on the global economy to ensure it remains sustainable in the long run Metal waste recovery operations Copper scrap buyers Copper scrap audit trail Copper scrap sustainability reporting Copper scrap sorting techniques Metal recycling industry trends

Copper scrap quality standards Copper is a popular and versatile metal that has been used for centuries in various applications. It’s an excellent conductor of heat and electricity, making it a critical component in many electrical systems and electronics. It’s also commonly used in building construction, plumbing, and even in the arts and crafts industry. If you’re interested in learning more about copper, there are many resources available to you. One excellent starting point is to check out the Copper Development Association (CDA), a nonprofit organization focused on promoting the use of copper and copper alloys in different industries. The CDA website (copper.org) has a wealth of information on copper, including its properties, uses, and applications. You can also access technical resources, like installation manuals and design guides for copper plumbing and electrical systems. They even have a section for kids, with fun facts and science experiments related to copper. Another great resource is the International Copper Association (ICA), a global organization that represents copper producers and processors from around the world. Their website (copperalliance.org) has a vast library of industry reports, research studies, and technical resources related to copper and its applications. If you’re interested in the history of copper, you may want to check out the Copper Development Museum, located in Phoenix, Arizona. The museum features exhibits on the mining and refining of copper, as well as its uses in manufacturing and construction. In addition to these resources, there are numerous books and online courses available that delve into the science, history, and practical applications of copper. Whether you’re a student, a professional in an industry that uses copper, or simply interested in learning more about this fascinating metal, there are countless ways to increase your knowledge and appreciation of copper Metal recovery and reclaiming center Copper scrap fabrication Scrap copper logistics Copper circuit board recycling Copper recycling compliance Global metal commodity trade
