This post was sponsored by Nestle – I don’t regret my decision.
Over the last few months, I have been on a wellness journey with Nestle and honestly, I have learned so much that I don’t want to stop.
I had decided that it was time to change our lifestyle completely – especially our eating habits. This change was necessary as the kids have allergies and eczema. I really don’t want to stop breastfeeding Kirav right now – so I don’t have any other option. However, I don’t regret this decision.
We had a month of everyone getting sick at home. This was a big wake up call for me – since I had the flu twice!
I need to make sure that I am eating properly to get the energy I need to breastfeed two kids.
Learning about balanced meals and serving sizes during this campaign has helped me put together a meal plan for my family and this is making the transition a little easier.
It has been tough though especially for Kitana.
I have had to limit her intake of all her favourite foods – especially food that have soy sauce and wheat. This means that she can’t have a lot of sushi anymore or enjoy a slice of toast every morning. However, I didn’t cut it out totally yet – as suggested by her dietician.
We are doing a little test at the moment to see what aggravates the allergies more and what can be eaten in moderation.
As for me, I had to cut down on dairy, eggs, and fish completely to see if any of these are causing Kirav’s eczema to flare up. At first, it was hard because I love dairy but now I am getting used to it and have found some alternatives.
I’ve also been drinking lots more water (I keep a water bottle with me all the time), trying to sleep earlier (still a bit of a challenge because of my working times) and scheduling my day so that I can spend more time being active with the kids outdoors. I also decided to invest in products that will help save me time in the kitchen – like a good grill for meat and a steamer for veggies.
I’ve become smarter when it comes to reading labels and shopping from certain brands. I think that it is important to know where your food comes from.
Changing our diet wasn’t cheap, so I had to get a few tips from friends and family on how to save a few rands here and there.
There’s so much more to wellness that I think we all need to understand.
Wellness isn’t just about eating healthy, it is also about making sure you are active and in a good head space that allows you to be happy.
I have learned the hard way that wellness is also about remembering ME and taking care of ME so that I can take care of my kids.
Happy Mommy = Happy babies.
Here are some tips for you.
I have been an emotional wreck and I think that a lot of it has been because I’ve been stressed about trying to juggle work and home. Trying to be a work from home mom with 3 kids is hard!
I am trying to practice positive thinking by learning to be more conscious of my negative thoughts. Walking around the block with the kids to get some fresh air helps me feel so much better after a stressful day at work. It also brightens up the kid’s day as they love being outdoors with mommy.
Making little changes can have a big impact. This includes everything from understanding serving sizes to keeping active to effectively managing stress. It is a holistic journey which requires you to Eat Smarter, Move More to Live Better.

Copper scrap recovery and reuse Copper metal is widely used as a conductor of electricity due to its excellent electrical conductivity and other beneficial properties that make it an ideal material for electrical wiring. There are several reasons why copper is chosen over other metals for electrical wiring: 1. Excellent electrical conductivity: Copper has a very high electrical conductivity, which means that it can easily transfer electrical energy from one place to another. This allows for efficient transmission of electrical power over long distances, with minimum loss of energy due to resistance. 2. Low resistance: Copper has low electrical resistance, which means that it does not hinder the flow of electricity, and electrical energy can pass through it with ease. This low resistance ensures that a high percentage of the electrical energy is transmitted without being lost as heat. 3. Ductility and flexibility: Copper is a malleable and ductile metal, which means that it can easily be bent and shaped without breaking. This makes it perfect for use in tight spaces and situations where wires need to be routed in complex patterns. 4. Corrosion resistance: Copper is highly resistant to corrosion, which means that it can resist environmental factors such as humidity, water, and temperature variation for a long time without losing its conductivity. 5. Availability and Cost-effectiveness: Copper is widely available, and its cost is relatively cheap as compared to other metals of similar quality. This ensures that it is not only the best material for electrical wiring but also the most cost-effective solution. In conclusion, copper is an excellent choice for electrical wiring because of its excellent electrical conductivity, low resistance, ductility, corrosion resistance, availability, and cost-effectiveness. These properties make it the preferred material for electrical wiring in almost all applications, ranging from residential wiring to heavy-duty industrial applications Metal waste inventory services Copper dross recycling Copper scrap containers Scrap copper cathodes Scrap copper warehousing Scrap metal recycling incentives
