There are a few days left before Santa makes his big arrival at the Vijendranath household. Luckily, this year I am a bit more organized than last year. I managed to do my last bit of shopping last week Thursday at Toy Kingdom in Sandton City.
I ended up purchasing a gift for my niece and daughter thanks to Toy Kingdom’s awesome gift card. 😉
Kitana had created a wish list for Christmas – it was a long list and many of the toys she wanted weren’t available in South Africa (Thanks to all those Youtube videos she watches).
Kitana’s top picks included:
1. Baby Annabel
2. Hatchimals
3. Furby (She finally has one, thanks to Hasbro!)
4. Dora Doll (Santa’s gift.)
Both number 1 and 2 is very difficult to find in South Africa at the moment. I knew I had to find something that could match up to this and make her smile on Christmas morning!
Trying to pick out the right gift for a 4-year-old can be a little difficult especially when they are set on something. I explained to Kitana that the gifts she wanted won’t make it in time for Christmas and she had to think of something else she really wanted.
I mean, Vije even checked in the USA while he was there and he couldn’t find both of her favorites. I guess they are extremely popular right now.
Toy Kingdom created a list of Top 50 toys to check out which I thought was an awesome guideline for parents like me who were totally confused on what to get for their little ones.
The list included BABY born which is very similar to Baby Annabel. I knew that this would be the perfect gift for Kitana since she is obsessed with baby dolls at the moment.
Baby Born Interactive doll features:
The BABY born interactive doll has nine features which don’t require any batteries.
She can drink from her bottle and eat her BABY born porridge from her plate with a spoon. And whatever goes in, needs to come out again of course: she can wet her nappy and go potty for peeing and pooing by click. BABY born can move her arms, legs, and head and loves spending time in the water. From time to time she cries real tears when she gets tired from all the playing. But if you give her the dummy, she will quickly close her eyes and peacefully fall asleep. Source: BABY born
I think Kitana is going to love this doll because you can add items to the doll’s collection. You can purchase accessories and different styles of clothes for her.
So once Kitana’s gift was sorted, I had to buy a gift for my niece who will be spending Christmas with us. She’s 6-years-old and like Kitana is obsessed with dolls and imaginary play. I knew that the Barbie Malibu townhouse would be the perfect Christmas gift for her since she has a huge collection of Barbie dolls already.
Barbie Malibu Townhouse features:
The Barbie 3-Story Townhouse is home to so many storytelling opportunities.
Fold up the house with accessories inside for easy and convenient storage; unfold with ease to start play. The first floor features a kitchen and living room; the second is home to a bathroom and bedroom, plus a closet to hang Barbie doll’s fashions.
Travel between floors on the sleek child-activated elevator. When Barbie doll reaches the second floor, the rooftop opens up for a fun surprise complete with a colourful pop-up umbrella! On the first floor, a contemporary swinging chair in the living room opens up so Barbie doll can swing on the inside or the outside of the house.
Furniture includes classic pieces with contemporary designs like the transparent and sleek bathtub (which can also be used as a rooftop spa), modern dining table and two chairs, footed sofa and cozy-looking bed, all with realistic details. The best part is you can always add additional accessories to the townhouse. Source: Mattel
Shopping at Toy Kingdom at 7 pm was so awesome. The store wasn’t really full so I could explore and shop at my pace. They have an awesome team who is always ready to assist, they even ended up wrapping my gifts for me with a personal touch from the brand.
The Toy Kingdom stores close at 8 pm every night during the festive season so I say take advantage of that. 😉

Scrap Copper recycling benefits Copper is a versatile metal that has been used by humans for thousands of years. From ancient times to modern day, copper has been a valuable resource in various industries such as construction, electronics, and transportation. As we move into the future, copper is becoming more important than ever before. One of the key reasons why copper is the metal of the future is its exceptional conductivity. Copper is an excellent conductor of both heat and electricity, making it a crucial material in the production of electrical wiring, motors, and generators. With the growing demand for renewable energy sources such as wind turbines and solar panels, copper is an essential material in these technologies as well. Copper has superior conductivity properties even at high temperatures and under harsh environments, which makes it the metal of choice in spacecraft and other critical applications. Copper is also an essential component in sustainable development. The metal is widely used in recycling because it retains its physical and chemical properties even after repeated recycling. Hence, copper can be a sustainable resource for the future generations because of its recyclability. Copper’s antimicrobial properties have also become an important feature lately. In hospitals and other medical facilities, the use of copper alloys in door handles, railings, and other commonly touched surfaces can help prevent the spread of infections and bacteria. Copper’s antimicrobial property assists in preventing the growth of deadly bacteria such as E. coli, MRSA, and other microorganisms. Innovation and technological advances continue to expand copper’s use. New applications such as copper nanowires, copper foam, and other copper-based materials have the potential for more efficient and more affordable applications that could help shape the future of numerous industries. In conclusion, copper is a vital metal of the future due to its superior conductivity, sustainability, antimicrobial properties, and innovation in technology. With the growing demand for renewable energy sources, copper plays an increasingly important role in shaping our collective future. Copper remains a vital metal to sustain our planet’s environmental, social, and economic systems, and is set to continue to contribute to our technological advancement for years to come Scrap metal material sourcing Copper scrap processing efficiency Copper processing efficiency Copper scrap prices Copper scrap supply chain optimization Scrap metal reclamation and recycling
Copper wire scrapping Copper is a chemical element with the symbol Cu and atomic number 29. It is a soft, malleable, and ductile metal with very high thermal and electrical conductivity. Copper is one of the oldest known metals, used by humans for various purposes for thousands of years. It is also an essential element for living organisms, playing a crucial role in numerous biological processes. Based on its chemical and physical properties, copper is classified as a metal. Metals are characterized by their ability to conduct heat and electricity, their luster, their malleability and ductility, and their strength. In addition, metals tend to have a high melting and boiling point, making them useful in applications that require high temperatures. However, copper does have some properties that are more similar to those of nonmetals. For example, it has a relatively low density compared to most other metals, and it has a relatively high reactivity towards oxygen. Despite these nonmetal-like properties, copper is still classified as a metal due to its predominantly metallic properties. Copper is widely used in a variety of applications due to its excellent electrical and thermal conductivity. It is a common material used for electrical wiring, electronics, and communications equipment. It is also used in plumbing, roofing materials, and in the production of coins and jewelry. Additionally, copper is also used as a catalyst in chemical reactions and as an antimicrobial agent. In conclusion, copper is classified as a metal based on its predominantly metallic properties, despite having some nonmetal-like properties as well. Its unique properties make it a valuable and versatile metal that is widely used in numerous applications Scrap metal reclaiming yard Copper component recycling Scrap copper yard Copper recycling technologies Scrap copper analysis Metal reclaiming and reclaiming solutions
