TIPS FOR MOM WHEN COOKING IN THE KITCHEN WITH THE KIDS:
Cooking with kids is a delight when you remember to follow common sense principles:
1. Set up the workspace so that all the kids baking can easily reach the surface.
2. Put down wax paper or newspaper to catch spills.
3. Supervise closely, and don’t let kids handle sharp tools or hot cookware that might injure them.
WHITE CHOCOLATE PUFFED RICE NESTS
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Setting time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
3tbsp butter
75g Staffords Magicmelt White Choc Discs
2 – 4 cups mini marshmallows
6 cups puffed rice cereal
Method
- Grease a 12-hole muffin tin. And get everyone to wash their hands – you’re going to get some sticky fingers in a couple of minutes!
- In the microwave, melt the butter with the Staffords Magicmelt White Choc Discs, stirring every 30 seconds so you don’t burn the mixture. Allow to cool slightly.
- Melt the mini marshmallows in the microwave, 30 seconds at a time – it should take no more than a minute (depending on your microwave) to get them nice and gooey.
- PLEASE NOTE: This part is for Mom only, so kids don’t get burned! Add the cereal to the marshmallows along with the butter and chocolate mixture and stir quickly to combine, being careful not to smash the puffed rice.
- Divide into 12 portions. Here’s where the kids join in and get messy: press treats into the muffin holes, making a dent in the middle of each to form a nest.
- Allow to set at room temperature for 30 minutes. Remove from moulds and store in an airtight container.
- To serve, drizzle with extra melted Staffords Magicmelt chocolate, if you like, and fill with mini Easter eggs.
CHOC CHIP SHORTBREAD BUNNY BISCUITS
Preparation time: 20 minutes + chilling
Baking time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
250g flour
100g unsalted butter, cubed
100g icing sugar
75g Staffords Magicmelt Choc Chips
1 free-range egg, beaten
50g Staffords Magicmelt Milk Chocolate Disks placed in a strong plastic bag with the top sealed, melted in a bowl of warm water
16 Staffords Magicmelt White or Milk Chocolate Disks
Method
- For the biscuits, blend the flour, butter and icing sugar in a food processor with a pinch of salt until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Transfer to a bowl, add the Staffords Magicmelt Choc Chips, egg and a little cold water to form a dough. Wrap in clingfilm and chill for at least 30 minutes until firm.
- Heat the oven to 200°C. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface, cut out 8x7cm discs and put them on a lined baking tray. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden and crisp. Cool on a wire rack.
- Now’s the moment to let the kids loose and have some fun! Cut a tiny hole in one corner of the plastic bag (dry it off first). Use melted chocolate to stick on the chocolate disks for bunny ears and pipe a cute bunny face on each biscuit. The kids can pipe the rest of the chocolate straight into their mouths!
DIPPED DIGESTIVE SMORES
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Setting time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
16 wholewheat Digestive biscuits (or use any firm plain biscuits you like)
½ cup chocolate spread or peanut butter
8 marshmallows
1x150g pack Staffords Magicmelt White Choc Discs
1x150g pack Staffords Staffords Magicmelt Milk Choc Discs
1x250g pack Staffords Magicmelt Rainbow Vermicelli
1x250g pack Staffords Magicmelt Choc Vermicelli
Method
- Spread a dollop of chocolate spread or peanut butter onto 8 of the digestive biscuits – kids can easily do this with the back of a teaspoon.
- Moms, while the kids are busy with the spreading, lightly toast the marshmallows on skewers or pop in the microwave for 10 seconds or so to get them gooey. Place a soft marshmallow on each biscuit, then top with one of the reserved digestives and push down to make a sandwich.
- Melt the Staffords Magicmelt White Choc Discs and Staffords Magicmelt Milk Choc Discs in separate glass bowls over simmering water. Set aside to cool a little. Decant the Staffords Magicmelt Rainbow Vermicelli and Staffords Magicmelt Choc Vermicelli into separate bowls.
- Dip each of the smores in melted chocolate and then vermicelli in whatever combinations make your children happy.
- If you can stand to wait, place on a wire rack to set for 30 minutes – just enough time to clean up the kids and the kitchen!
Enjoy!

Environmental copper disposal Copper is a metal. It is a chemical element with the symbol Cu and atomic number 29. Copper is a soft, malleable, and ductile metal that is a good conductor of electricity and heat. In addition to its electrical and thermal conductivity, copper has many other properties that make it useful in a variety of applications. For example, copper is resistant to corrosion and can be easily shaped and welded. Copper has been known to humans for thousands of years and has been used for a variety of purposes, including decorative objects, currency, and tools. It has also been used in the production of alloys, such as bronze and brass, which have improved properties over pure copper. Today, copper is used extensively in industry, particularly in the production of electrical wiring, plumbing pipes, and other building materials. It is also used in the manufacture of electronic devices, such as computer chips and circuit boards. In addition, copper is an important component in renewable energy technologies, such as wind turbines and solar panels. In summary, copper is a versatile and important metal with a wide range of applications. Its unique properties make it valuable in many industries and it will likely continue to play a significant role in the future of technology and infrastructure Metal reuse operations Copper scrap revenue optimization Copper extrusion scrap Copper scrap pollution prevention Copper scrap environmental stewardship Metal scraps recycling
Copper scrap commodity trading Copper is one of the most widely used metals in the world. It is known for its thermal and electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance, and malleability. Copper also has antimicrobial properties, making it a popular material in industries such as healthcare and food processing. There are different processes involved in the manufacturing of copper, and this article aims to provide an overview of these processes. Mining. Copper ore is typically mined from underground or open pit mines. The ore is extracted from the ground and transported to a processing plant where it is crushed and milled. The copper minerals are then concentrated using a process called flotation. In flotation, chemicals called collectors are added to the mineral slurry, which selectively bind to the copper mineral particles, allowing them to float to the surface of the slurry while other minerals remain in the slurry. Smelting. The concentrated copper ore is then smelted in a furnace. The process of smelting involves heating the ore to high temperatures in the presence of oxygen and a reducing agent such as coke. The copper minerals react with the oxygen to form copper oxide, which then reacts with the reducing agent to produce copper metal and carbon dioxide gas. The impurities in the ore, such as sulfur and iron, also react with the oxygen and are removed as gases or slag. Refining. The copper produced in the smelting process is impure and contains various impurities such as sulfur, iron, and oxygen. To remove these impurities, the copper is refined using electrolysis. In electrolysis, a copper anode and a copper cathode are placed in an electrolytic cell containing a solution of copper sulfate. When an electric current is passed through the cell, copper ions in the solution are attracted to the cathode and deposit as pure copper metal. The anode, which is made of impure copper, dissolves into the solution and replaces the copper ions that are deposited onto the cathode. Casting. Once the copper has been refined, it is cast into different shapes and sizes. The most common form of casting is called continuous casting, where a molten stream of copper is poured into a mold and cooled to produce a continuous length of copper. This copper can then be further processed into rods, sheets, wire, and other products. Conclusion. The manufacturing process of copper involves several steps including mining, smelting, refining, and casting. Each of these steps plays a critical role in producing high-quality copper products that are used in a variety of applications. The demand for copper is expected to continue to grow in the coming years as it is a vital component in many industries including construction, electronics, and transportation Metal reutilization Copper scrap collection center Copper scrap customer acquisition Electric motor copper scrap Copper scrap waste reduction Scrap metal processing and recycling
