When I fell pregnant, there were certain items that was a MUST for me. Today I will be sharing my top 15 items. Please note this is in no specific order.
1. Comfortable Shoes
I practically lived in flats throughout my pregnancy because I had swollen feet. Comfortable shoes are a must, unless you want to be like Kim K wearing heels with swollen feet. Cinnamon has a great range of shoes which are expensive but totally worth it! Each pair of Cinnamons is hand-made.
2. Extra length leg leggings
I love leggings, they are very comfortable for me. Yummy Mummy Maternity has one especially for pregnant women – making it easier to wear with your baby bump. You can use this in winter or summer.
3. Camisole
Hermanna Rush introduced an amazing camisole which can be used as a sports or feeding bra. This equals long lasting multi-use camisole. I absolutely love it! I’m busy reviewing it, works so well for me with Kitana.
4. Bio oil
One thing I wanted to avoid during pregnancy was stretch marks. I used Bio Oil everyday on my stomach. I’m not sure if it was the bio oil or just my good jeans but I don’t have any stretch marks on my stomach. The place that I didn’t use bio oil (thighs) ended up getting stretch marks.
5. Pregnancy sleeping pillow
One of thee best investments I made while been pregnant was buying a sleeping pillow. Vije was comfy but this was better with the big belly. You need to be comfy and this helped me a lot. Cushi has a great range of pillows.
6. Belly Belt
This was one of the first products on my mind when I went pregnancy shopping. Something to carry my big belly and make me feel comfortable. Woolworths has one which I think is great, this belly band is built to support your baby bump, and is ideal for getting maximum mileage out of your pre-pregnancy clothes.
7. Organic Cotton Comfort Panty
Trust me, you need good underwear and Carriwell has done a great job with their product. Organic cotton is perfect for delicate and sensitive areas. These panties can be worn under the tummy during pregnancy and as regular panties after birth with comfort being their entire focus through design.
8. Comfortable Pajamas
Trying to sleep with a big belly can be difficult at times, its good to sleep in something light and comfortable. Annabella has an amazing range! Beautiful sleepwear that is perfect for pregnancy, a must have for your hospital stay and a comfortable addition to your post pregnancy wardrobe. Pyjamas and nightdresses that allow you to breastfeed in style.
9. 12 in 1 dress
Who says you can’t be pregnant and look hot?! Koco Bino has a 12 in 1 Maternity Dress which I think is a must have! Dresses are comfy when you pregnant even in winter. You can always add a jacket or legging under if you get too cold. I practically lived in dresses when I was pregnant.
10. Massage Candle
Most Pregnant woman end up getting back pain and I was one of them. Spa-Valous has lovely scented candles which can be used on baby too.
True back pain occurs when ligaments (the tough, flexible tissues that connect your bones), muscles, discs and joints become strained. The strain can be caused by poor posture, bad lifting technique, weak or tight muscles or injury. If you suffer from this, you are likely to have had it before becoming pregnant.
Massage: this soothes tired, aching muscles. Lean forwards over the back of a chair or lie on your side. Ask your partner to gently massage your lower back and the muscles that run either side of your spine. A trained massage therapist, your midwife or a physiotherapist may be able to help you further.http://www.babycentre.co.uk/a536387/back-pain-in-pregnancy#ixzz2uGS8ndf9

Hi, 4AKid sent me. Nice blog, I will visit again 🙂
I bought 3 pairs of pants/jeans and about 5 maternity shirts. I didn’t want to spend a lot on clothes I would only be wearing for 18 months of my life. Actually less because I didn’t show until about 5 months, so only 8 months or so of my entire life.
I owned 2 tights and a few large t shirts. I loved it! The pjs was very comfy for me.
Ahhh to be pregnant again… there are so many sweet sweet moments and so many moments that you want nothing more than to never be pregnant again! =) Love this post and product recommendations!
I wore a lot of dresses when I was pregnant. I found them to be way more comfy than anything else.
What a great list of products! I will be bookmarking for when/if I am pregnant!
I have to say the pillow… I would use pregnant or not. Haha I am a total pillow person. But I love everything that you have shared!!
Haha, stash snacks everywhere. Oh the things I’ll look forward to 🙂
That’s a great list! This post will definitely come in handy later down the road!
Such a useful post, my sister is pregnant so I’m going to share this post with her. Thank you!
I wore a lot of leggings and tunic style tops. Also nursing tanks, I loved those and still do.
Omg loving the list!!! If I ever am prwggo again… Totally getting a body pillow 😉
That is a great list. My number one favorite thing when I was pregnant was my pregnancy pillow. I could not sleep without that thing.
Great list. Will definitely come in handy!
All these you’ll find very helpful when you’re pregnant.
I tried picking which of these I needed most when I was pregnant. I needed them ALL. Especially the pillow.
No more babies for me, but these are some really great items for mommies-to-be! I could have used some of these things while I was pregnant with my son!
Yes yes yes! Comfortable Pajamas are an absolutely must from day 1!
A good pregnancy pillow is a must!
I couldn’t agree with comfortable shoes and leggings any more! You just need to be extra comfortable at that time.
The only thing I had was #13. I was active duty military when I was pregnant so I had a uniform and utility boots that I had to wear every sinlg eday.
Flats, beauty kit, and baby books are my top 3.
My sister in law swears by that body pillow. They didn’t have huge ones like that when I was preggers. This is a great list!
I think pregnant women should consider only wearing flats and maybe rubber shoes. Heels may look glamorous and beautiful but it would be fine to say bye to them in the nine-month period.
I love this list! Will definitely bookmark for later ^^
Though never been pregnant before I do love long extra leggings like crazy their comfort is unbeatable
Such awesome tips, these are a must read for all pregnant women!
Leggings and comfy shoes were my must haves during pregnancy. These are great recommendations for those expecting 🙂
The pillow is a MUST! My baby is 18 months and I still have my pregnancy pillow in bed with me!
Great tips for must haves for pregnant women. I love the 12 in 1 dress for sure that is really neat. Thanks for sharing.
I remember wearing a lot of dresses when I was pregnant. Never wore any sexy lingerie though. 🙂 Nice list!
This is a great list, I couldn’t live without my Extra length leg leggings! I still wear them 😉
I definitely love the belly band. I was able to wear my pre-pregnancy clothes that were a little bit larger when I used the belly band. Then I didn’t have to go out and buy a whole bunch of new maternity clothes. The pregnancy pillow or a body pillow is a great idea too. I still sleep with mine and my baby is 10 months old!
I have several preggy moms in my moms group. I will share this with them!
Comfortable shoes is a must. I worked my entire pregnancy and I couldn’t have made it had it not been for comfy shoes.
Yep, you’re spot on for me with all of these. I love the comfy shoes one best, my feet were tired when I was expecting.
I love this list. I am pinning for later when we I get pregnant!
The pregnancy pillow was my favorite. Now I can’t sleep without a body pillow because of that lol.
These are all fantastic ideas! Comfy shoes are a must! I don’t know how (or why) those celebrities always insist on heels.
I’ve heard these pregnancy pillows are everything! I’ll remember that for when my time comes!
agreed on everything and I just had a baby so I should know 🙂 Great tips for first time moms.
I am sooo gonna buy the pillow.Thank you
I love my preggy pillow. It’s the only way I can have a goodnights sleep now.
I love my preggy pillow. It’s the only way I can have a good night’s sleep now.
I think having a good maternity dress is a must, also you need a housekeeper, so that you can actually go out and wear it 😛
I forgot to mention about having yoga pants and also a nice massage chair
